Complex assessment reports and therapy for brain injury

Elizabeth has worked with a large number of case managers and with many different case management companies. She provides specialist speech and language therapy assessment and treatment for their clients which is client centred. Goals are set in conjunction with the service user, their family and significant others to ensure they make a difference in real life. 

Elizabeth has worked in the field of neurological rehabilitation for over ten years, working with clients with speech, language, communication and swallowing needs.  For the past 22 years, she has, and continues to work with, people with difficulties as a result of:

  • acquired brain injury (both as a child and adult) 
  • cerebral palsy
  • stroke
  • traumatic brain injury
  • brain infections such as meningitis.

Elizabeth works closely with the case manager ensuring they are kept up to date with progress via the telephone, emails and written reports.  She is aware of the importance of goal setting and measuring outcomes with clients and this is core to her management.  She thrives as working as part of the multi-disciplinary ensuring that we achieve the best possible outcomes for the client.

A qualified and highly experienced neurological speech and language therapist, able to deliver specialist, high quality speech and language therapy medico-legal speech and language therapy reports for adults with acquired neurological conditions.  I have experience providing a range of reports including personal injury, medical negligence, capacity, breach of duty and for HCPC regarding fitness to practice. I am also an expert witness for the National Crime Agency.

Established a successful speech and language therapy practice providing specialist speech and language therapy to young people and adults in the West Midlands.  Regularly produce medico-legal reports for clients with acquired speech, language and swallowing difficulties.
