Elizabeth has been working as an expert witness for 15 years. She is able to produce high quality, evidence based reports within a time scale to meet your needs.
Expert witness reports are available for personal injury (condition and prognosis and quantum), medical negligence, breach of duty, fitness to practice and in criminal matters.
Elizabeth provides speech and language therapy and medico-legal reports for adults with acquired speech and language therapy conditions.
She has experience of breach of duty reports regarding the quality of speech and language therapy assessments, conclusions and recommendations regarding dysphagia management (swallowing difficulties).
Elizabeth has also produced a large number of medical negligence reports relating to the outcomes of surgery and their impact on speech, language and swallowing.
Elizabeth also regularly undertakes reviews of medical notes when a client is not able to be assessed.
The split of her medico-legal referrals is currently 25% defence, 65% claimant, 10% joint instruction.
She regularly receives direct instructions from solicitors and also via the many expert witness panels she has been invited to join.
Elizabeth can assess your client at their home or in hospital across the UK.
She has undertaken specialist training in excellence in written reports and courtroom skills for medico-legal reports in the field of speech, language, communication and swallowing.
